Businesses raised £345 for McMillan nurses at the Federation of Small Businesses Warwickshire & Coventry Golf Tournament.
The tournament took place at The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club on September 6 and the players competed on the Kings Course for the prestige of the overall winner, the best team, as well as the nearest the pin and longest drive.
The overall winner was awarded to Nigel Wain of Power and Energy Monitors and the best team was jointly won by Intelligent Locking Systems and Power and Energy Monitors.
Richard Palmer from Colin Davies won nearest the pin and Andrew Faulkner from Brock Charles won the longest drive.
For the first time this year ladies prizes were introduced and five women competed in the tournament. The prize was won by Marion Parsons from Intelligent Locking Systems.
Bruce Undy, FSB Warwickshire and Coventry chairman said: “The golf tournament is a great opportunity for small businesses in the region to network, while raising money for charity.
“We are delighted to be supporting the McMillan nurses and hope that collectively the FSB and the local business community can raise money throughout the year for such an important and worthy charity.”
