Sir Nigel Rudd is set to address more than 150 Midland business leaders at the annual Roger Dickens Lecture on Monday June 14.
Talking from his experiences, including the Barclays acquisition of Lehman Brothers in 2008, Sir Nigel will give insights into the challenges facing global business and the developments of the UK banking system.
Sir Nigel is chairman of UK and Ireland Private Bank at Barclays Wealth, chairman of BAA, former chairman of Boots and Pilkington and deputy chair of Barclays Bank PLC.
The event, which is being hosted in Hall 5 of the International Convention Centre, is the fourth in a series of annual Roger Dickens lectures organised by business and professional services networking and lobbying organisation Birmingham Forward. The late Roger Dickens was the founder of Birmingham Forward 20 years ago this year.
Last year, over 200 people attended the event at which Digby, Lord Jones of Birmingham spoke about the effects of global recession on world economies.
The 2010 event is being held in partnership with the NEC Group and is being sponsored by Deloitte.
Tickets, which are priced at £35 +VAT, are available from Laura Wheatley at Birmingham Forward – LauraW@birminghamforward.co.uk, 0121 632 2204.
