Meteor Park - Slough Estates' £20 million redevelopment scheme in Nechells, Birmingham, is set to have a significant impact upon the West Midlands industrial market at the end of 2006.

Plans have been revealed by Slough Estates for the redevelopment of the 10.5-acre site that it has recently acquired.

On completion, the scheme will feature a total of approximately 225,400 sq ft of new, high specification industrial/ warehousing space in four detached units ranging in size from 20,850 sq ft to 112,410 sq ft located in a secure site.

Each unit, providing office space on two floors along with staff facilities, will be set within landscaped grounds, each with its own service yard and car parking, creating a high quality environment.

Joint agents DTZ and Jones Lang LaSalle anticipate interest in the scheme to come from a range of industrial/ ware-housing occupiers attracted to the site's high quality finish and strategic location close to Junction 6 of the M6 Motorway and the Heartlands Spine Road.

Simon Lloyd, director of industrial agency at DTZ, said: "Meteor Park is set to have a significant impact on the Birmingham industrial market due to the quality of buildings on offer and its excellent location. The redevelopment of the site will bring a significant boost to the local employment market and general economy in the area."

Jane Tromans, of Slough Estates, added: "We will be providing quality accommodation for immediate occupation which will be attractive to a diverse range of occupiers. ..SUPL:
