There is still time to register for the inaugural ‘Never Mind the Business’ at the Slug and Lettuce in Brindleyplace, Birmingham, on Wednesday night.

Birmingham businesses, including Wragge & Co, Eversheds and the Birmingham Post’s team, will go head to head in the general knowledge quiz.

Quiz master Ed James, breakfast presenter for Heart fm, said: “I’m really looking forward to hosting Never Mind the Business and testing the knowledge of Birmingham’s companies to find out who deserves the trophy.

"It’s a fun event for those taking part and will be raising vital funds to support people living with a learning disability in Birmingham. I’m proud to be involved in the first year of the quiz as I’m confident this will become an annual event.”

To register email mids.fundraising@mencap.org.uk or telephone the Mencap fundraising team on 0121 708 3037. Team entry costs just £180 a team (six players maximum) and food will be provided.

Louise McCathie, regional fundraising manager for Mencap in the Midlands, said: “This is a fantastic post-work event for colleagues looking to unwind and have a bit of fun whilst raising vital funds to support people with a learning disability, their families and carers. I’d like to thank all the Birmingham companies that are kindly supporting us.”
