A company which owns major footware exhibitions at the NEC has been bought for an initial #3.4 million cash.
International exhibition group ITE has acquired DEW Events.
The Footware UK exhibitions are run in Birmingham in February and August and sister events, Footware London, are held in the capital in April and October each year. The Birmingham exhibitions are already run alongside ITE?s MODA Fashion Exhibition.
Ian Tomkins, chief executive officer of ITE, said: ?The MODA Fashion and the Footwear UK exhibitions have both benefited from the cooperation between our companies over the last three years. We are confident that the Footwear exhibitions will thrive as part of a larger group.?
