Midlands construction firm Thomas Vale has teamed up with Billesley and Yardley Wood police officers to organise a ‘shoe box’ charity campaign to give those in need some extra support in the run up to Christmas.
Members of the community and local shops have donated gifts which have been put into shoe boxes and wrapped, which will be distributed around the local area to those in need.
To help underprivileged children enjoy the festive season, a Christmas party has also been organised as part of the charity campaign, when the gifts will be distributed.
Paul Dockeril, director of Thomas Vale Construction, said: “We are particularly proud this year to be supporting the Shoe Box appeal to bring happiness through celebration of Christmas to a number of children who need support through challenging times in their life.”
