A West Midlands-based computer company is in the running to add a hat-trick of industry awards to its collection.

Senokian Solutions, a Coventry supplier of integrated open source business systems, has been shortlisted for the best open source Public Sector implementation, best open source application and best open source e-business solution in the upcoming Linux and open source awards.

Recognised as prestigious industry accolades, the awards receive increasing numbers of high quality entries each year from the companies, organisations, community projects and individuals that are leading Linux and Open Source into the future.

Jake Stride, Senokian Solution's managing director, said his company are delighted to be recognised by their peers in these prestigious industry awards.

"We are so excited to be nominated against the world's leading companies for these awards," he said.

Both awards are for Senokian's EGS (Enterprise Groupware Systems) package that helps companies planning to successfully manage customer relationships.

EGS has modules that collect customer data, track order histories, view pipelines and build individual customer profiles. The modules integrate enterprise resource planning and enable on-line purchasing, as well as document management, group calendaring, and warehouse management.

A key advantage of EGS is that is completely web-based, allowing managers to monitor, query or update the system while out of the office.

Senokian Solutions recently won a Heart of England Excellence and Tourism award for designing and building a website for the Godiva Awards. As well as developing software programmes, the company offers consultancy, implementation and training on a wide range of subjects from e-commerce solutions to content-managed intranets, and from project management systems to IT infrastructure.
