Mo Chaudry – appearing on Channel 4’s The Secret Millionaire – is set to be the keynote speaker at the Black Country’s leading celebration of the region’s Asian business community this week.

Ian Austin, the newly-appointed Minister for the West Midlands, will also be attending.

The Black Country Asian Business Association (BCABA) is expecting almost 350 guests to attend its seventh annual awards dinner at the Copthorn Hotel, Merry Hill on Friday.

The celebration is the pinnacle of the year for the organisation and will showcase the success of a wide range of companies with awards for new and established businesses.

Shortlisted companies include Café Rickshaw, SSP Catering, Bhabi and Paaji, Five Rivers Catering, Balaji Temple, Wolverhampton Cricket Club, Realtone Records, Sunrise Bags, KTC Edibles, Recycle Plastics, Balu Group, Sterling Finance, Master Freight, and Colton Hills School.

BCABA business manager Rakesh Saini said: “The BCABA Awards provide an ideal platform for Asian businesses across the Midlands.”
