A Kraft Foods employee from its Bournville site has taken a leap of faith to raise money for the Cramar Cat Rescue and Sanctuary in Hopwood, Birmingham.

Lisa Dick, who works as a designer, risked one of her nine lives by taking part in a sponsored skydive and, with help from the Kraft Foods cashmatch initiative, raised £1,425 in the process.

Ms Dick said: “It was an amazing experience. Literally out of this world! On the day they upgraded me to a 15,000ft jump - I was terrified, but I really believe in the amazing work carried out by the staff at Cramar, and thinking about the team kept me going.”

The sanctuary has been providing relief to suffering, stray or abandoned cats throughout since 1987.

Carole Lowe, chair trustee at the sanctuary, said: “We’re extremely grateful to Lisa for being so brave and raising this invaluable money.”
