Warwickshire-based automotive retailer Rybrook Holdings is making its mark in Yorkshire with the acquisition of three new dealerships.
Rybrook, which is the rump of the former Ryland business, has acquired for an undisclosed sum the entire share capital of Jackson Alexandra, which operates the North Yorkshire Mercedes-Benz market area.
The acquisition is the Coleshill company's first move into Yorkshire and incorporates outlets at York, Harrogate and Scarborough.
As part of the deal former owner Richard Jackson will take the role of chairman, while all of the 180 employees who work across the three dealerships, will be retained by the company.
This acquisition comes close on the heels of Rybrook Holdings' formation based on 12 franchised dealerships and a contract hire company formerly operated by Ryland Group. The new company, which employs 35 at its head office in Coleshill, was formed after Ryland sold nine dealerships to Sytners at the end of August.
The move is the first of the company's acquistion strategy outlined earlier this week.
Henry Whale, Rybrook Holdings managing director said: "This acquisition is key to the group's development."
