Fitness guru Rosemary Conley will be guest speaker at this year's Business Woman of the Year Award in Birmingham.

Ms Conley, who has built up her own diet and fitness empire, will talk about her business successes and how her experiences can help others to reach their potential.

The awards, which are in their 25th year, recognise the contribution women have made to our economy, celebrating female talent, achievement and ability.

Ms Conley said: "These awards celebrate those women who so strongly contribute to the variety of business life.

"Even today, women are still very much a minority group in higher management and in the entrepreneurial world. For 25 years, these awards have given encouragement and recognition to the most deserving women - and the message remains valid."

Nominations for the awards are invited from women running their own company or occupying senior managerial positions across all industry sectors and who have made a significant contribution to the financial success and performance of an organisation.

The annual ceremony and lunch will take place on October 5, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. Attended by over 800 women from different backgrounds, guests will also enjoy a drinks reception, live jazz, shopping, a fashion show presented by Selfridges and a preview of the new Jaguar.

The entry deadline is this Friday and you can register your nomination at www.womenoftheyear.org.uk
