Knight Frank's new industrial and development team is dealing with more than one million sq ft of speculative distribution space and more than 2.5 million sq ft of development opportunities.
Knight Frank partner Nick Waddington said the team has also landed its first high profile instruction on behalf of Slough Estates.
It has been instructed on Meteor Park, the develop-er's new flagship Birmingham scheme, which will total 225,400 sq ft in four speculative production/warehouse units.
The team has also expanded with the appointment of Emma Hargreaves, who with six years' experience of the Midlands market joins Nick and associate Mike Price.
Mr Waddington said: "Due in part to the Midlands' geographical advantage and the fact that it is the UK's leading distribution and logistics hub, the regional industrial market continues to thrive, attracting both local and national investors.
"This, in combination with the launch of the new industrial team last year which gave us new focus and emphasis to growing the industrial and development portfolio, will give us a strong position from where we can build on the existing Knight Frank brand and presence in Birmingham.
"We have grasped this opportunity and have been concentrating on acquisitions, disposals and development opportunities throughout the Midlands. Our work over the past 12 months to build our portfolio of clients and instructions has now been recognised with the high profile appointment to work with Slough Estates on Meteor Park."
Slough Estates secured the 10.5 acre, former Delta Works site on Argyle Street on the north-east perimeter of Birmingham city centre.
Knight Frank is working with joint agents DTZ to market the site.
Emma Hargreaves added: "After recently qualify-ing, my new appointment to the team offers a wealth of opportunity to work cclosely alongside with some of the region's most prolific and exciting industrial developers, warehouse and distribution players."
