Two UK distributors are relocating to Stonebridge Cross business park in Droitwich following the completion of deals valued at nearly £7 million.

The 77-acre park, opened in 1999 by Axa Investment Managers and Birmingham-based Stoford Developments, has already proved popular with a succession of leading companies looking for enhanced nationwide distribution and a quality manufacturing environment.

The latest firms to agree terms include a Sussex-based commercial lighting specialist and a medical aids business from nearby Worcester.

JCC Lighting, a family-run lighting business established for more than 15 years in Bognor Regis, has now exchanged contracts on a £3 million, 46,000 sq ft plot at Stonebridge Cross. The property will provide showroom and distribution facilities for JCC's international customer base and the move is likely to create around 20 jobs locally.

"The central location and excellent road network makes this an ideal location for our expanding business," said director Denis Callander.

"In addition, the quality of environment at Stonebridge Cross is very high and we have been able to have a major input into the design and build of our new premises."

Also moving to Droitwich is AKW Medicare, a producer of mobility and disability aids in Worcester since 1992.

Having identified a suitable site at Stonebridge Cross, the company has finalised plans for a custom-built, £4 million,54,000 sq f facility with Stoford Developments.
