A red-carpet charity premiere of the latest James Bond film in the Midlands raised £15,000 for the Prince’s Trust.

The screeening of Skyfall at Worcester’s Odeon cinema was sponsored by Worcestershire firm Scott Farms International and attended by more than 400 guests from businesses across the county.

Coronation Street actor Tony Hirst and Sky Sports presenter Vicky Gomersall attended fresh from raising £5,000 for BBC Children In Need by racing a Severn Valley Railway steam train and a Morgan 3 Wheeler car.

Stan Smith, chief executive of sponsors Scott Farms, said: “The Prince’s Trust is an amazing charity, and I can think of no better way to highlight their great work in the county. We were delighted to be able to play our part.”
