Employees from the Royal Bank of Scotland’s corporate banking division in Brindleyplace made “a huge difference” to visitors at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice this week.
The group spent a day weeding and tidying up the front garden, restoring the flower border that greets people as they arrive at the Hospice to its former splendid glory.
Each year Birmingham St Mary’s cares for around 1,000 people with life-limiting illnesses across Birmingham and Sandwell. These services are reliant on public donations and volunteering activities.
RBS’s voluntary work was carried out at the hospice as part of the bank’s Charities and Communities initiative, in which staff get to spend a day of company time doing good.
