Staff at Kenilworth-based Quicksilver PR are spreading the spirit of Christmas - by giving a day of their time free for the local charity of their choice.

The company is working with Coventry Cyrenians, offering the charity, which supports homeless people in the city, a full day of its services, comprising communications consultancy, PR, copywriting, photography and design, free of charge.

Communications director Jeremy Kemp said: "Christmas is a time for giving and what better way for local businesses to get into the Yuletide spirit then by offering some of their valuable skills and time to bring real benefits for a local charity and those it supports?

"We're urging all Midlands businesses to contact a local charity to offer a day of support - whether that relates directly to what that business does or responding to a specific need at this special time of year."

Mike Fowler, chief executive of Coventry Cyrenians said: " It's really refreshing that a company is prepared to forego profit to put something back and help those less fortunate.

"We hope as many other businesses as possible follow their example and 'give a day for charity' this Christmas."..SUPL:
