The Corporate Finance team from the Birmingham office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP rolled up their sleeves to rejuvenate a primary school, as part of the firm’s ongoing community support programme.

PricewaterhouseCoopers teamed up with the Handsworth branch of hardware retailer Wickes, who provided practical advice and materials for the Birmingham Cares project. Staff got to work at the Tame Valley Primary School in Birmingham, adding new games in the playground and totally redecorating the library, giving the school a new lease of life ahead of the start of the new term in September.

Andy Parker, Partner in Corporate Finance at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Midlands commented: “We are committed to backing Birmingham Cares projects such as this, which provide a lasting value to the local community.

“There was a great team turn-out and it was an excellent opportunity for the team to work together and have some fun at the same time. We look forward to getting involved with the programme again in the near future.”

The Birmingham Cares programme is just one of a number of charitable and community based initiatives supported by the firm in the region.

Others include the Prince’s Trust, businessdynamics, Young Enterprise and Volunteer Reading Help.
