A 30-strong team from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Midlands has completed the Three Peaks Challenge, to raise funds for the Meningitis Trust.

PricewaterhouseCoopers supported the team’s efforts by matching the funds raised, taking the total to more than £12,000.

To complete the challenge, the team took on the task of climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in just 24 hours. The idea for taking on the challenge came from the firm’s public sector team. Catherine Little, Andrew Shaw and Carly Ryan kick-started the process of getting the group together, which quickly spread to all areas of the firm.

Rundeep Mondair, senior associate at risk assurance services who took part in the challenge, said: “Despite the early starts and the tough conditions, we had a fantastic day. We spurred each other on when we got tired and when we reached the top of each peak it was all worth it.”

Jeremy May, partner and leader of the Midlands community affairs programmes, said: “We are pleased to support the tremendous efforts of the team through our match-giving scheme. As a business, we actively encourage staff to get involved in initiatives that benefit the wider community.”
