As part of a nationwide day of volunteering, over 310 employees at PwC in the Midlands have been participating in a range of local community projects and helping to share valuable employability skills across the region.

The firm’s Midlands-based volunteers spent the day providing support to a wide range of individuals, from pupils at local schools to those at risk of homelessness. They offered specific support in areas like mentoring, CV writing and skills sharing, with the aim of helping individuals to progress into further education or employment.

In the West Midlands, 85 staff spent the day with young people in community projects run at the Heartlands Academy and the Hippodrome Theatre.

A further 120 PwC staff visited community centres such as Comm:pact Hutton Hall in Washwood Heath, St Vincent’s School, the Alex Wing of Selly Oak Hospital and Lickey Hills Country Park. Meanwhile, 30 volunteers also spent the day delivering a Young Enterprise’s Project Business presentation to Trinity School pupils.
