Birmingham-based ProTech Computer Systems has landed a contract to provide a fully integrated membership, events and web system for the Society for Endocrinology.
ProTech's Pro-7 system will improve the society's communication with members by recording all activities, transactions and correspondence in one central knowledge base.
The society is the founder member and organiser of the British Endocrine Societies, to which all the main British endocrine groups are affiliated.
As a learned body for both science and medicine dealing with the endocrine glands and hormones it aims to advance education and research in endocrinology for the public benefit.
It will be using ProTech's system to administer membership for BioScientifica clients as an outsourcing division. BioScientifica is the commercial subsidiary of the society.
Kandis Ip, the society's IT manager, said: We selected ProTech because Pro-7 is functionally rich and extremely flexible. A key driver was the online abstract handling by their CPMS module."
