A Birmingham-based property business, which has let and sold £50 million worth of property since its formation two years ago, has followed up the recent expansion of its Edgbaston headquarters with a Morocco office.

City Life Group identified the North African kingdom as a prime opportunity for international investors after fact-finding visits.

Having negotiated rights on a Tangier residential development, the company is establishing an office in the city headed by former DTZ sales coordinator, Sarah Francis (pictured).

"The new office will concentrate initially on marketing our new development at La Baie Panoramique," said Ms Francis "Over time it will become a focal point for our various interests in the region.

"We are installing staff from Britain and Morocco, ensuring clients enjoy the same levels of professionalism and local knowledge as UK counterparts."

City Life Group, which recently expanded from four members to 13, was founded in 2004 with an initial investment of £250,000, having spotted the growth potential for sales and lettings in Birmingham. With business booming to a current turnover nearing £50 million, the company reinvested in bigger offices, advanced technology systems, and is now making a move into the international markets.

"We remain very positive about sales and rental in Birmingham, yet we are keen to explore further afield, where we are convinced of the potential for high growth and yield," said director Amar Aslam. "We have secured a superb new development we believe is ideally placed to benefit from Morocco's building and tourism boom. Backed by recent EU and US trade agreements, the country is committed to a huge increase in infrastructure over the next decade."

Major forthcoming developments include a new port in Tangier and record overseas investment including £19 billion from the United Arab Emirates.
