Birmingham-based technology services provider Probrand has been shortlisted for a prestigious IT industry award, the Computing Awards for Excellence 2006.

Probrand has been short-listed for "Most IT Enabled Small Business Award" after implementing its IT procurement hub,, with Coffee Republic, one of the best known and largest independent espresso bar brands in the UK. The partnership helped the company save nearly a quarter of normal day-to-day operating time and five per cent of the normal monthly spend on IT products.

The Computing Awards, cocoordinated by IT publication Computing, is one of the most sought after awards accreditations in the industry.

Its readership consists of the most influential and powerful decision makers in the field. The awards are given to companies whose challenges and achievements deserve recognition, with thinking that has set them apart from the crowd.

Fellow nominees at the awards include the likes of Boots, Orange and Google Enterprise.

The ceremony will take place on October 25 at Battersea Park Events Arena, in London.
