Waste water treatment specialists ARM is celebrating Christmas with a £1 million contract for one of the country's biggest turkey processing plants.

The Staffordshire-based company has clinched a deal to design and build a state-of-the-art waste water treatment plant at Cranberry Foods' turkey processing plant in Derbyshire.

Cranberry Foods processes more than 10,000 turkeys a day, and double that during the Christmas period.

Customers include the UK's major supermarket chains. The contract follows a major waste consultation exercise by ARM to determine the plant's requirements and to design an upgraded waste water treatment plant.

Industrial sales manager Patrick Hawes said Rugeley-based ARM was delighted at the Cranberry contract.

"Their requirement was for a treatment facility which could cope with the company's growth while being as environmentally sound as possible," said Mr Hawes.
