School children are being invited to demonstrate their creative design talents at a global conference, which this year is supported by family bakers Warburtons.
The seventh International Primary Design and Technology Conference in Birmingham, to be held in June, will see design and technology teachers from across the world share their experience on how to get youngsters to develop their design skills in primary schools – from buildings and jewellery to food.
Warburtons, working closely with the Education, Law & Social Sciences Faculty at Birmingham City University, is aiming to help reinforce the importance of creative thinking and design skills among young children and school teachers across the region through the CRIPT, Centre for Research into Primary Technology, Design challenge.
The challenge is open to all primary schools in the West Midlands and invites them to come up with an idea and recipe for a bread product. Up for grabs will be school equipment vouchers.
