Redditch-based print firm SP Group, part of St Ives, has invested in a new Ince Onset digital press.
It is being used to produce personalised wide-format print at speeds of up to 500 square metres per hour for clients such as luxury lingerie manufacturer La Senza, home retailer Habitat and chocolate firm Thorntons.
Simon Ward, UK sales managing director for St Ives, said: "The quality, speed, and most importantly for our customers, the personalisation ability of the Onset, makes it, in our eyes, the world's first digital screen press."
Jeremy Jones, operations director for SP Group, added: "Our market is driven by the need for short-run, quick turnaround point of sale, that enables retailers to regularly change displays and promotions. By installing the Inca Onset we can respond to market demands as the press's features help our customers keep one step ahead of competition."
SP Group, which now includes digital large format specialists Service Graphics, has 1,200 employees based at 13 sites across the UK.
Turnover exceeds £130 million.
