PR and marketing professionals are being invited to drive other city sectors round the bend.

The aim is to win the title of Teamworks Karting Corporate Champions 2006, a contest loaded with rivalry which aims to raise £15,000 in funds for communities supported by the Birmingham Foundation.

The charity and Teamworks have attracted 40 firms across all sectors to submit a team of five to race in ten rounds, one round to be held each month. Companies from each sector enrol their crew under the relevant sector entries which include PR & Media, law, banking, accountants, property, insurance, hospitality, motor & industry, IT & telecoms and recruitment.

And the PR and Media sector event will launch the year-long racing extravaganza on February 7 at the Teamworks circuit minutes from The Bullring in Birmingham.

Winning teams from each sector will race against each other in the Grand Prix Grand Final on November 21.

Entry fees for each team are £450 and funds raised will be invested into the Foundation's central endowment fund to assist local communities in the future.
