ethnic planning applications are more likely to be rejected than those from white applicants, because they are not always aware of the intricacies of planning regulations.
The first session, with officers from both the planning control and business regulations services of Birmingham City Council, will take place on Monday at the Summerfield Community Centre on Winson Green Road.
Among the topics that may be discussed are general advice on how to go about making an application; guidance on what type of work requires an application; advice to assist in deciding whether an application would be possible or not and under what circumstances; and general information on planning or building regulations.
