Lichfield-based logistics firm Palletways Group raised £12,000 after hosting a night of glamour at Drayton Manor Hotel for its chosen charity, Help for Heroes.

With an original fundraising target of £8,000 and some 120 tickets sold, the charity ball had a number of prizes up for grabs as part of a raffle and auction on the night, including a tripin the Palletways dragon-shaped hot air balloon, the only one of its kind in the UK with a glass-bottomed basket.

The charity ball marked the first of many fundraising efforts for the armed forces charity by Palletways.
