The Midlands' hard-pressed motor industry has contributed to the region seeing a fall in manufacturing output over the past three months, according to a new report.
The area and the East Midlands were the only two parts of the country to see a downturn in production .
A nationwide increase of four per cent failed to stir the Midlands, where output fell by 12 per cent.
