Consulting structural and civil engineers Nolan Associates has just completed work on what is claimed to be one of the West Midlands' most important distribution warehouse projects.
The 274,473 sq ft processing centre at Green Lane, Walsall is to be occupied by retail group TK Maxx who are set to move into the new building this spring.
The 16-acre site formerly housed the Sterling Tube factory and after ground remediation works, supported by financial backing by Advantage West Midlands, the site was developed in a joint venture between Antringham Developments and Coltham Developments of Birmingham.
Nolan Associates' regional director Nick Barton said: "The building was an important project to work on as the arrival of TK Maxx and 1,200 jobs is a key factor in helping to kick start the regeneration of Walsall."
Nolan Associates advised Miller Construction which built the development.
Antringham Developments and Coltham Developments sold the development to Prudential Holborn Life for £17.8 million.
