Most workers take less than an hour for lunch and some don't even leave their desks, new research shows today.

The main reason for not having a proper break was the amount of work people had.

A survey of 2,000 UK employees found one in five grabbed just five minutes for lunch, while 10 per cent didn't even bother trying to take a break.

Working long hours without a break increases stress and has serious health implications, the report warned.
