He studied law at Nottingham Trent University and also attended the College of Law in Birmingham

Sarah Hewitt, aged 24, is an assistant solicitor in the commercial litigation department at Ansons.

Lichfield-born, she is the newly-appointed chairman of the firm's charity committee.

Sarah Popp, managing partner at Ansons, said: "Ansons recognises that trainees are our future and we endeavour to take on two new ones each year.

"Training is given in research, drafting, negotiating, advocacy and IT to ensure that our people not only know the law, but also how to practise in the most commercially beneficial way for our clients. We wish Louise and James well with their training contracts.

"As a new assistant solicitor, Sarah is a vital member of the Ansons' team and a valuable addition to the growing commercial department."

Ansons employs more than 70 people across its offices in Lichfield and Cannock. Specialisms include corporate services, commercial property, planning, agriculture, dispute resolution, insolvency and private client services.
