Law firm Browne Jacobson has expanded its intellectual property team with the appointment of Declan Cushley as partner at the Birmingham office.
Moving back to private practice from worldwide brewery Molson Coors, Mr Cushley will provide a Birmingham presence for the team as they look to increase their West Midlands profile in the IP field.
He is a recognised intellectual property specialist and brings considerable experience to the role having previously been employed at Wragge & Co and Freeth Cartwright. In the past he has worked closely with household names such as Heinz and British Airways.
Managing partner Brian Smith said: "We are delighted to have Declan joining us. The firm has a solid reputation for its IP and other commercial work in the East Midlands, as recognised by Legal 500, and with Declan's experience and skills we are confident of replicating that in the West Midlands."
Mr Cushley's areas of expertise include licensing, strategic brand and trade mark advice along with all other areas of non-contentious IP.
