Amey, one of the UK’s leading support services companies, has promoted Andy Milner to managing director of its consulting division (formerly Owen Williams).
Birmingham-based Mr Milner has more than 20 years industry experience. He joined Amey in February 2006 following the acquisition of Owen Williams. Prior to his promotion to managing director he was the highways business director for the consulting division.
In his new role, Mr Milner will assume responsibility for the highways, rail, property, environment and sustainability, management consultancy and technology services.
Amey’s consulting division is working on projects for the Highways Agency, Transport Scotland, Transport for London, Bedfordshire County Council, Road Service Northern Ireland and Network Rail.
In Birmingham, Amey is one of two companies bidding for a £2.7 billion private finance initiative (PFI) contract with Birmingham City Council to manage and maintain Birmingham’s highways for the next 25 years.
