Stephen Fleming, a senior manager at Pricewaterhouse-Coopers in Birmingham, has been elected as the new chairman of the Birmingham and Coventry Branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Mr Fleming, who has been a member of the CIM for ten years, takes over the voluntary role from, who hands over the chair after two years service to concentrate on his business role as director of Tamworth-based management consultants, Booker & Hopkins Associates Ltd.
Mr Fleming said: "I am delighted to be taking over from Nick Booker as chairman of the Birmingham & Coventry branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
"Under Nick's leadership a talented branch committee has delivered a well-attended programme of events to help CIM members, guests and local business people in the region network with each other and learn from best practice in marketing. I look forward to working with the CIM team throughout the region to contribute to marketing here in the Midlands."
Mr Booker added: "Stephen takes over as chairman of the Birmingham & Coventry branch at a time when all companies and organisations involved in the West Midlands economy need to have successful marketing on their agenda if they are going to prosper.
"I know that under his guidance, the branch can make a major contribution to supporting that need."
