Bromsgrove-based solicitors and estate agents Thomas Horton have converted to limited liability status.

And they have also unveiled a new brand identity, developed following several months of consultation with staff and other stakeholders of the firm.

The family-run firm, whose managing partner T Matthew Horton is fourth-generation 'Horton', has been providing legal services in the West Midlands since the middle of the last century.

The new branding has been designed to reflect the firm's values, built up over a period of almost 200 years.

Mr Horton said rebranding was always an emotive issue - how the firm presented itself to the outside world was extremely important.

He said: "We wanted our new brand to reflect who we are and how we advise our clients - a long standing player in the Bromsgrove and Worcestershire legal sector with a well-established reputation for a personal, hands-on, highly professional service.

"This was a big step for us and I felt it was important to involve as many of the staff as possible in the process, as they are the firm's brand ambassadors. Our receptionists and secretarial staff had as much say in the decisions on branding as myself and the other partners in the firm.

"The timing of our new corporate identity could not be better, as it underpins our reputation and achievements as we begin this new phase as a limited liability partnership."
