Two directors are taking the helm at a successful Coventry mailing house and digital print company.

Gareth Stringer and Deborah Donaldson have taken dual control of Link Mailing in Binns Close as Darren Jones is taking up a new post on the board in a non-executive capacity.

Michael Ackland, joint co-founder, retains his roles as director and chairman. Mr Stringer has been with the company for seven years and Mrs Donaldson five years and both will look to further strengthen the business, which has continued to grow during the recession adding in the print arm in January 2008.

Mr Jones, who co-founded the company 12 years ago and has built it up to one of the largest mailing houses in the region, will concentrate on other business interests including running lean management consultancy KM&T, which is also based in the city.

He is also considering other non-executive opportunities as well as continuing his post of as vice chairman of the Primary Care Trust.

Mr Jones said: “This was always the long-term business plan for Link Mailing and it was always a case of when rather than if Gareth and Deborah – who are both from the city – took over the reins.

“We have developed the business together in recent years and it is in a very strong position with local, national and international clients,” Mr Jones added.

“This is a very natural step and I am delighted with the move.”

Mr Jones will step down as president of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce later this year after serving for two years in the role.
