Leading independent timber importer and distributor Premier Forest Products is expanding with the opening of a new #2 million warehouse in Birmingham.

The centre, at Nexus Point, Holford, is intended to be the focal point of the company?s growth plans over the next decade.

Premier is aiming to increase its market penetration in the UK, and intends to be conducting 50 per cent of its trading in the Midlands and the North in the next four years.

The company aims to grow its turnover from # 50 million a year to #80 million by 2010 and says the sales generated by the new Birmingham office will be crucial to reaching this target.

The company has recruited industry stalwart Chris Wild as a director to head up this new state-of-the-art warehouse and office in Birmingham and lead the company?s growth plans in the Midlands and the North.

Nigel Williams, one of the three founding directors said: ?Chris has over 30 years of industry experience and our plans are very ambitious so we felt we needed to bring on board a director with a high level of knowledge and competence.?
