Midland-based recruitment company Network Holdings Group, formerly part of the Pertemps empire, has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of a majority stake in Worcester-based recruiter Cactus Search.
Network, which now has a portfolio of more than 25 recruitment firms, has taken a 51 per cent stake in Cactus Search, which specialises in executive recruitment in the calls centre and contact centre sector - which is thought to employ more than one million people. Despite the challenging market, Cactus has created a strong client base and produced a steady growth in profits.
Cactus managing director Guy Masters said the company was proud of its achievements to date.
"This is a very exciting time for us and being a member of the group will further enhance our proposition and the support provided will help us to develop our business further to greater future success," he said.
"We are delighted to have become a member of the group and are eager to pursue the opportunities this will present."
Network is one of the UK's largest independent groups operating in the specialist recruitment and business outsourcing markets.
Since flotation, Network has developed partnerships with specialist recruitment companies which require the back-up of a larger organisation in order to develop their businesses.
Its aim is to develop a UK-wide network of niche recruitment practices covering all disciplines from professional services to specific serviced industries such as aviation.
