Low-cost airline Monarch Scheduled has launched Spanish, Portuguese and Italian language versions of its website - www.flymonarch.com.

Passengers can now make a reservation, read up on all essential travel information or find out more about the airline in their native tongue. Flight booking confirmations will also be in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.

Monarch Scheduled recently announced six new routes between the UK and Spain, two new routes between the UK and Portugal and its first ever route between the UK and Italy.

From Thursday flights will operate between: Manchester and Almeria, Madrid and Naples; Birmingham and Alicante, Malaga, Faro and Tenerife, and from May 19 daily flights will operate between Gatwick and Granada and Lisbon. With the launch of the foreign language sites, booking flights has never been easier for overseas passengers.

Jonathan Crick, sales and marketing director of Monarch Scheduled said: "The launch of flymonarch. com in three additional languages means we can offer an enhanced service to even more passengers travelling between Spain, Portugal, Italy and the UK.

" We've seen a steady increase in our traffic to the UK since launching the new routes, so translating our website to accommodate those bookers was a natural step to take."

With over 80 percent of sales now being made online compared to 70 per cent this time last year, the web continues to be the most popular channel for passengers booking flights on Monarch Scheduled.
