Mills & Reeve has appointed Leevie Herelle and Olivia Broderick as solicitors at its Birmingham office.
Mr Herelle has joined the firm's insurance department, while Ms Broderick's arrival will further strengthen the commercial team.
Prior to joining Mills & Reeve, Mr Herelle worked as a para-legal with Pinsent Masons and Freshfields in London, before training with London law-firm Kennedy's where he qualified in 2004.
He specialises in professional indemnity and acts for a range of clients including insurers of solicitors, accountants, brokers, architects and other professionals.
The appointment brings the Birmingham office's insurance team, headed by partner Angus Turner, to a total of six, following the recent recruitment of Jonathan Watmough and Amanda Shearer.
Ms Broderick started her legal career in Dublin where she trained and qualified in 2001 with Mason Hayes & Curran. Most recently she worked as a senior solicitor in the corporate department of Edinburgh-based law firm Brodies.
She has experience of advising clients on commercial matters in three different jurisdictions. Her work ranges from advice on terms and conditions to the preparation and negotiation of high value bespoke contracts. She also specialises in competition law.
Guy Hinchley, managing partner at Mills & Reeve in Birmingham, said: "They are both important additions to the Birmingham office and I am sure will prove to be key members of their teams."
