Radio stations across the Midlands are celebrating after the latest batch of industry performance figures.
The quarterly RAJAR study to December saw most of our operators show a gain in weekly reach -their annual number of weekly listeners.
Kerrang! 105.2 continues its march with a reach of 354,000 compared with 320,000 in the previous quarter.
Brand manager Andy Price said: "To achieve that performance in less than two years of is a tremendous achievement. We're delighted."
City-based 100.7 Heart fm saw its reach surge to 829,000 from 778,000, although sister station Galaxy Birmingham saw the figure drop to 337,000 from 353,000.
But a spokesman said 100.7 Heart fm's listening totals grew by 11 per cent from 6.9 million to 7.7 million hours, with Galaxy Birmingham's listening hours increased by nine per cent from 2.7 million to 2.9 million hours.
Paul Fairburn, managing director for parent operation Chrysalis Radio Midlands, said: "I'm delighted that the recent improvements we've made to both Heart and Galaxy have been appreciated."
GCap owned BRMB also had reasons to be cheerful with its reach rising to 514,000, from 474,000.
BBC WM (Birmingham and Black Country) increased to 316,000 from 283,000.
But Saga 105.7fm saw its reach drop to 394,000 from 399,000.
However a spokesman said the station's total adult audience - the 394,000 total - was listening for an average of 13.1 hours a week compared to 10.5 average hours in the same period last year. ..SUPL:
