A Midland firm of estate agents and chartered surveyors helped to raise more than £150,000 for charity in 2012.

CPBigwood staff last year nominated The Epilepsy Society, John Taylor Hospice and Edwards Trust to receive £439 each, with money collected through events including dress down days and a stop smoking campaign.

The auctioneering skills of CPBigwood senior partner Rory Daly and partner Graham Carter helped to raise more than £125,000 at various charity events including the West Midlands Property Quiz and the Lord’s Taverners Christmas Lunch.

The company donated £8,400 to Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice from its 10th Annual Charity Golf Day, gave £5,000 to Marie Curie, £3,000 to Edwards Trust and £3,000 to Molly Olly’s Wishes.

Other individual and group efforts saw donations go to Cure Leukaemia, Cardiac Risk in the Young, Children In Need, Acorns Hospice and The Albion Foundation.

CPBigwood head of marketing Sue Randell said: “The example is set from the top and throughout the organisation people volunteer. “Hopefully we can do even better in 2013.”
