A Midland IT consultancy has raised more than £5,000 for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice by climbing the three highest mountains in Britain.

The 15-strong team was made up of staff, friends and the managing director of Crimson in Coleshill, Rob Mallaband.

“Despite the dreadful weather and taking longer than 36 hours to complete, we had a great time doing the challenge in aid of this fantastic cause,” Mr Mallaband said.

“I really hope we are able to make a difference, because we know that the difficulties we encountered were nothing compared to those faced by people who require the support of hospices.”

Birmingham St Mary’s fundraiser Theresa Meek thanked Rob and his team for supporting the charity.

She said: “This money will make a real impact, enabling the hospice to provide over a hundred hours of care.”
