The Midlands largest co-operative has launched a new partnership to raise funds for a teenage cancer charity.

The Midcounties Co-operative, which has shops across the West Midlands, has pledged its support to the Teenage Cancer Trust for the next two years, when staff will hold fundraisers and volunteer at the charity.

Midcounties’ previous two-year charity partnerships raised between £330,000 to £400,000 for causes it embraced.

Ben Reid, chief executive of The Midcounties Co-operative, said: “Supporting our communities and working with charities and local organisations is what sets us apart as a co-operative business.

“We know Teenage Cancer Trust does fantastic work and wants to expand its services. I am sure we can make a real difference by our colleagues, members and customers embracing it as our charity partner.”
