Employees from Michelin have raised thousands of pounds to pay for vital new equipment for the Midlands Air Ambulance charity.

Members of staff at Michelin’s Stoke-on-Trent site raised the money for the Midlands Air Ambulance after it was nominated by staff as the company’s charity for 2011.

The staff raised £5,116 through a series of fundraising activities including the Bike4Life ride, a Stoke City FA Cup ticket raffle, dress-down days, cake sales, quizzes and a Christmas market.

In recognition of its fundraising efforts, Michelin matched the £5,116 generated by the firm’s employees to establish a final total of £10,232.
