Metro Bar & Grill is the latest sponsor to sign up to the Christmas Prom, a musical event being held at the Town Hall to help to raise funds for hundreds of local community charity projects within Greater Birmingham.

The popular city centre eating and drinking venue is offering Prom-goers a special two course pre-concert menu for £15 which includes a large glass of wine. A percentage of proceeds taken on this offer will be donated to the charity.

The annual musical event, which starts at 8pm, is being held on Tuesday December 15 in support of the Birmingham Community Foundation, offers a rich mix of Christmas carols combined with traditional Prom classics.

Held in association with international engineering consultancy Hyder and compered by broadcaster and journalist Adrian Goldberg, other sponsors have already signed up include Dickens Foundation, Jobson James, John Matthews Consulting, Metro Bar and Grill, Marc Kirsten photography and the Town Hall who will be donating a mince pie with every drink sold during the interval.

Chris Kelly, joint owner of Metro Bar and Grill, said: “This musical concert is now a firm annual event and one that raises money to help our local communities. We wanted to play our part and thought that we could provide a hassle-free opportunity to enjoy a great meal prior to the concert starting at a cost that did not break the bank.”

Tickets are priced £15 and £20, available from the Birmingham Community Foundation on 0121 322 5560 or email christmasprom@bhamfoundation.co.uk Reservations for Metro can be made by telephoning 0121 200 1911 quoting the reference ‘Christmas Prom.’
