Some 4.42 acres of land and a 65,000 sq ft distribution facility at Phase 4 Anchorbrook, Aldridge, West Midlands has been acquired by Metalfin ( UK) for more than £3.8 million.

Commercial law firm Turner Parkinson advised Metalfin on the acquisition and the development agreement of the land.

Metalfin (UK), which is the UK's largest independent stainless steel distributor, has 70 employees.

The company purchased the land from Horton Estates and has appointed Quantum Construction to redevelop the site and build the new distribution facility, which will be ready for February 2007.

Colette Johnson, commercial property partner at Turner Parkinson, said: "The company has experienced good growth and has been looking for the right property as part of its long term strategy."

Martin Sweeney, business analyst at Metalfin, added: "We are looking forward to seeing the end result in February 2007."
