Warwickshire employment lawyer and former international rugby player Richard Moon has negotiated the contract for the new Welsh Rugby Union forwards coach, Robin McBryde.

Mr McBryde, a former British Lions hooker who was capped 37 times for Wales, takes up his new post with the national squad immediately.

Mr Moon, who heads the employment law unit at Leamington Spa solicitors Blythe Liggins, was a former Cambridge rugby blue and international scrum half who sits as a chairman for the RFU Disciplinary Panel in the Midlands.

He has helped a number of international players with employment contracts over recent years, including Welsh internationals Dwaine Peel, Wayne Proctor and Stephen Jones, and Scottish internationals Eric Peters, Budge Poutney and Simon Holmes. Mr McBryde said: "Richard's knowledge of rugby and his considerable expertise in employment law have been invaluable to me both during my rugby career and now after it."
