A Midlands designer and manufacturer of office furniture plans to double sales in 18 months after moving to Coventry.
MCB International has spent £1.3 million on designing and building a new showroom, assembly plant and offices at the 1.5 acre site on Alderman's Green Industrial Estate.
The company distributes desks, storage cabinets and boardroom tables through a 260-strong dealership network throughout Britain. It also exports, and recently won an order for furniture to Dubai.
All the products are designed and built by MCB's managing director Mark Bracken. He also designed the new building and factory layout.
He now hopes the company will reach £3 million sales, up from £1.3 million, on the back of the move to Coventry.
"We brought all the key people with us from Rugby in December," Mr Bracken said. "Our mid-term plan is to achieve a £7 million turnover, and we have additional land here that we can build on as part of the strategy."
The move was advised by Leamington Spa solicitors Blythe Liggins and financing advice provided by Barclays Bank.
